Day 01

San Jose

Arrive by train or air and settle into your San Jose hotel. Complimentary airport transfers are included, and a casual evening reception introduces you to your fellow travelers.

Day 02

Roaring Camp Railroad & Monterey

Ride behind steam through the Santa Cruz Mountains on the Roaring Camp Railroad. Continue to Monterey for its State Historic Park and Fisherman’s Wharf, with a welcome dinner this evening.

Day 03

17-Mile Drive & Carmel

Follow 17-Mile Drive along the Pacific and explore charming Carmel. Return to Monterey for the aquarium or Cannery Row.

Day 04

Aboard the Coast Starlight

Board at Salinas for a journey through the Salinas Valley, over Cuesta Grade and along 131 miles of Pacific coastline. Stay overnight in Oxnard.

Day 05

Ventura Highway & Crown Princess

Travel to the Port of Los Angeles along the Ventura Highway and board Crown Princess for the Baja Peninsula and Sea of Cortez voyage.

Day 06

A day at sea

Settle into life aboard ship. Explore the lounges and open decks, enjoy the dining and entertainment, or relax as you sail toward Baja California.

Day 07–08

Two days in Cabo San Lucas

Enjoy two days at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, where desert mountains meet the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez. Discover Cabo’s beaches and the celebrated natural arch, El Arco.

Day 09

La Paz

Explore the capital of Baja California Sur, with its waterfront Malecón, sculptures and views across the turquoise Sea of Cortez.

Day 10

Guaymas

Visit this historic port on the Sonoran shore, framed by desert mountains and blue water. Its maritime heritage and traditional waterfront offer a glimpse of a less-traveled Mexico.

Day 11

At sea

Enjoy an unhurried day aboard Crown Princess as the voyage continues through Mexican waters.

Day 12

Mazatlán

Discover a port where seaside life meets a historic Mexican city, with colorful buildings, plazas, markets and a long oceanfront Malecón.

Day 13

Puerto Vallarta

Arrive on Banderas Bay beneath the Sierra Madre Mountains. Puerto Vallarta’s old town, cobbled streets, galleries and waterfront make a memorable final Mexican port of call.

Day 14–15

The Pacific, at leisure

Spend two final days at sea as Crown Princess sails north toward California. Revisit a favorite lounge, enjoy the open decks and share the journey’s highlights with your fellow travelers.

Day 16

Los Angeles & homeward

Disembark after breakfast at the Port of Los Angeles. Transfers to Union Station and LAX are included for your journey home.
